Abstract: | Sir C.V. Raman was a man of many moods. His love for research matched his desire to be left alone. So that, he led the life of near-recluse, not wanting to be talked to or written about. On the occasion of the birth centenary of the first Indian Nobel laureate in science, G. T. Narayana Rao recalls how he over come heavy odds and managed to penetrate the scientist's reserve. |
